That is heightened by the fact that many an application that is depended on ends up not working as it should. Data is then lost that should not be. Many then wonder what cause a computer to be slow.

A common reason for a computer to run at a slower speed is that it has become infected with a virus. As a result of that infection many problems may occur including a full system crash. Fortunately there is help out there in the form of a program that can protect one’s system from attack. Thus one should go out and find one that comes fully equipped with regular updates to be installed on their machine.

Spyware and adware are another annoyance that can cause a machine to slow down. They sneak onto a system through the web sites a user visits. Thus one can have one of those awful programs downloaded unknowingly onto their machine. There are still other pages on the web that use cookies as a way to track what sites a user visits. Therefore way to ensure privacy must be employed in the form of a cleaner that can rid one’s machine of these unwanted guests.

The registry needing to be optimized is another reason for loss of speed in a system. Errors find their way into a machine’s operating system through actions like the deletion of programs and files. Fortunately there exist programs out there that can fix what is wrong.

Many of the registry cleaners out there are offered for free via various web sites. Unfortunately though there are a few that do just the opposite. They install unwanted programs rather than get rid of them. Thus greatly reducing operating speed.

Unwanted programs being installed on a hard drive is what cause a computer to be slow. Cleaners and other applications exist to get rid of viruses, adware, spyware, and to fix the registry. I personally managed to clean up my computer by downloading high quality registry cleaner software.

The problem of a slow PC is a huge issue for millions of people around the World, but it’s actually quite easy to fix if you know how. There are ways to make any Windows computer run faster, and this article is going to detail 3 of the best methods you can use to make your PC run like it did when it was new. Here’s what you need to do…

1) Uninstall As Many Programs As You Can – A common problem for most Windows computers is the way in which many people will end up installing a lot of different programs onto their PC to try and get the most out of it. Although this is easy to do, it’s a big mistake – as the more programs you install, the slower your PC will run. The problem is that because Windows applications use a huge number of different files & settings, your PC has to take longer & longer to read them all, with the more applications that are installed. The other big issue is that most computer software actually loads up & runs in the “background” of your system, without you even knowing. This forces your PC to “juggle” the various programs it has open, slowing it down further. To make sure this is not a problem, you should uninstall as many programs that you don’t want as possible.

2) Update Your Drivers – “Drivers” for your PC are another big reason why Windows computers will run slow. These are the software “bridge” from your computer to your hardware, and are what allows Windows to interact with all the physical components of your system. Unfortunately, the drivers of your PC are continually being outdated & saved incorrectly – causing Windows to take (much) longer to perform the tasks you want. To fix this, you should update all the drivers you can for your system.

3) Clean The Registry – This is actually one of the most beneficial things you can do to improve the speed of your PC, as the “registry” is undoubtedly one of the most important parts of your system. The registry is the big database that lies at the heart of Windows, and is where your computer stores vital information and options for your computer. It’s where your PC keeps the likes of your desktop wallpaper, Internet favorites, most recent emails and even your stored passwords – making it one of the most important & frequently used parts of your computer. Unfortunately, the registry is also one of the biggest causes of problems for your PC, as it’s continually saving many of the settings it has in the wrong way, causing your computer to be come unable to read the files it requires to run. This is a big problem for all Windows systems, and can be fixed by using a “registry cleaner” to fix the various registry errors on your system.

This problem is a common issue for many computers around the World, but is one which is actually very easy to fix if you know what’s causing the problem to start with. There are many different reasons why computers will freeze from time-to-time, but having fixed many computer freeze issues, there’s one issue which is continually the main reason behind computer’s freezing, and this is how to fix it…

The main reason why computers freeze is all down to a part of your PC called the “registry”. This is a central part of your computer which stores information and settings for your system, and is actually one of the most important parts of Windows. Not many people fully understand the registry, as its hidden from view most of the time. However, it’s where Windows stores all the settings and options that your computer & software need to run each day. All the settings on your PC such as your most recent files, your desktop wallpaper and even your screen resolution settings are all kept in the central registry database. However, the reason why this database causes your PC to freeze is because a lot of its settings have the tendency to become damaged and corrupted.

Unfortunately, the registry is continually becoming damaged and corrupted, leading your system to take longer to read the files it needs to run, slowing it down. However, if your computer cannot read the registry settings it needs, it will become highly unreliable and will end up either crashing or freezing. To fix this problem, and make your computer run as fast and reliably as possible again, its advisable to clean out all the corrupt settings from the registry database by using a registry cleaner. This is a type of software which scans through your PC and fixes any of the damaged registry settings that can cause your compute to freeze.

Although there are several different causes behind computer freezes, the most effective and reliable way to fix these issues is to use a ‘registry cleaner’ to fix any of the damaged settings inside the system. These tools are very popular with computer experts and beginners alike, mainly because of how effective they are at cleaning out the errors on your PC. If you get a good tool – that can fix the most registry errors – you can make your system run like new again.

When your computer show signs that it took time before your windows can be booted, then your PC is suffering from “Computer running slow syndrome”.

There are several reasons why your computer is running so slow. Maybe you have loaded your computer with pictures, files, music, documents and programs on it and later on delete it. That is the very reason why your computer got cluttered and messed up thus causing your computer to slow down. You need to clean it once a month by running scan disk and then defragment your hard drive. This is one way of keeping your hard drive in its finest condition and will keep your computer running smoothly. The scan disk utility and defragmenter can be found under the system tools in folder which is inside accessories.

Another reason is your computer may have virus. You will know that your computer is infected with virus if it does respond properly in spite of clicking on certain commands but nothing happened. There are several indications when your pc got infected. When your computer exhibits bi-polar behaviour (one minute it’s on and the next minute it is off for no reason at all). In order to be safe from virus, run your updated version of antivirus software. You can update your antivirus online before running your antivirus software.

Start up programs may also be a reason why your computer does not start at once. These programs usually start with your system and run in the background so you have to disable the program that you do not use. You can do this manually by deleting programs from the startup folder or with the help of a system health check program that will do it for you.

The registry can also cause your computer to slow down. You can download a registry scanner tool program. You can find them online and they are very simple to install and use.

If you have done everything and still your computer run slow then you might have too many programs running on your computer. Find how much memory your computer has in the system tools and at the system information and make sure you do not have too many programs running at once.

To have your computer run at its optimum capacity, you have to keep it clean, run your system tools and do viruses scan regularly.
